Florence Regina
Producer

Florence Regina, President (producer/director/actress) founded Soleil Films in June 2002. She has produced several short films including film festival favorites, "COPELESSNESS"; and “ART” a co-production with Silent Silent Echo Productions. In 2004, she produced and directed a tribute documentary for the American Diabetes Association’s “2004 Man Of Distinction Award”. She produced the short film, “BRINGING UP BAYBAY”, starring Mad TV’s Debra Wison, a co-production with Post Meridian Productions. The documentary, “DIABETES AND ME”, is now in production. At the moment, Soleil Films has several feature film and television projects in development. As an actress, film and TV credits include America, The Shield, The Guardian, The Practice, Boston Public, and ER. She had a pivotal role in the Morgan Freeman film, "High Crimes," with Ashley Judd and Amanda Peete. Florence has had several national commercial spots. Currently, she can be seen in an elevator, dancing with Ellen Degeneres in an American Express commercial. She was born in Haiti and began working in the entertainment industry in New York as an actor whose stage credits include Black Girl, Uncommon Women and Others, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide... and several original plays and musicals done at theaters in NYC. In New York, she produced, directed, and performed in "Facing Reality", a profit-making series of one-act plays. She has also performed in and directed improvisational children's theater and was a member of the Theateroke improv troupe at the NY Comedy Club. Also a cabaret singer, Florence has performed at the Village Gate, the Lamb's Club, and Cleopatra's Needle. Her talents have inspired a play, a grand-scale musical, and a part in a Robert Downey, Sr. movie. In Los Angeles, she received an ADA award for best production for Yabo Yablonski's "Cracks in the Sidewalk" at the American Renegade Theater. Florence also produced, directed and performed in the sketch comedy show "Absolute Sketch," at the Alliance Repertory Company. Florence is an active member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Diabetes Association's African-American Diabetes Task Force. She is also a speaker and has spoken at several events on their behalf. She also works with the Los Angeles Latino 5 a Day Campaign promoting healthy eating and healthy living. As a person with diabetes herself, she finds this very rewarding. Other memberships include: Independent Feature Project/West's Diversity Committee; Women In Film; Filmmakers Alliance; The International Documentary Association; Film Arts Foundation; and the Screen Actors Guild.

PAULA MITCHELL MANNING Creator/Executive Producer

 

Ms. Manning is the Founder and President of Post Meridian Productions. Paula Mitchell Manning is a Harlem-and-Hollywood hyphenate: a playwright, an actress and a producer. Manning began her producing career in radio. She executive produced “The Names Project” for the KOST-FM, which won The Radio & Television News Association “Golden Mike” Award. Her stage producing credits include, Company of Angel’s world premiere of “Flirting with Morty”, The Theatre @ Boston Court’s inaugural production "Romeo + Juliet: Antebellum New Orleans, 1836;" "A Winter People;" "BlackBerry Love;" and the 400th Anniversary production of "Othello" for Company of Angels and Lyric Hyperion Production. As a producer Manning has been nominated for a LA Weekly Theatre Award, NAACP Theatre Award and received an Honorable Mention for Backstage West’s Garland Award. Manning is the creator-writer-Executive Producer of her upcoming short film "Bringing Up BayBay," starring Debra Wilson.

Phil Ramuno
Director

Phil Ramuno has film, stage, and hundreds of episodes of network and syndicated television to his credit. His sitcom lineage goes back to the legendary Soap. Phil Ramuno has directed Bret Butler, Jane Leeves, Dolly Parton, Cindy Williams, Scott Baio, Roseanne, Brad Garrett and other great actors in venues. Phil helmed eight PILOTS and many comedies for networks NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX and studios such as MGM, 20Th Century Fox, Sony, Universal and Disney. Besides his film and TV projects, Phil is an adjunct professor at USC Film and Television Graduate School. His first book, “The Sitcom Career Book” was released this year.
